This is just so clever. It would’ve been a a few years ago as well, but I doubt it would’ve gotten even close the same spread. what’s nice about it is that it also is with fairly simple technology (a movie on a billboard).

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009Samsung made this nice little video (Viral even) which shows how much of a bottleneck a traditional harddrive can be. Thou they do stripe the disks for even more super fast access. (Hardrive performance isn’t my strongest point, but I’m guessing you could achieve similar throughput speeds by striping regular disks as well (but with longer seek times)). 2GB/sec is either way pretty insane.
And the result: you can open all apps in the office suite in .5 second.
